Hadn't been for awhile but have had several great meals before....decided to take some out of town friends. Sadly very disappointed. To start with they said they had not sashimi or sushi which was a whole page of the menu. Then on ordering we were told no salads......this was very embarrassing having recommended and taken guests. The gyozas were bland and over cooked...the fish dumplings were....can't even comment! The servings seemed very small from before and the prices have risen...maybe this is all because of them having the restaurant in surry hills; not sure but won't be going back.
Unpleasant staff! Food was great but the bar staff were astonishingly rude even though it was not particularly busy and we were spending upwards of $500 on food and drinks. We were enjoying a post-wedding celebration with friends and it really put a dampener on our happy mood.
I tried her on the moon markets. They only take cards as cashless this year. The service was fast as not busy. I went with a bite beef. There were 7 delicate beef pieces for $ 16, so it's a bit more expensive, but they were of good quality and the taste was delicious.
The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere with unique decor and interesting seating arrangements, although it can feel a bit cramped for larger individuals. The cuisine combines Asian flavors with gourmet techniques, creating a memorable dining experience.

Dont bother. Overpriced psuedo Asian food. Ordered the charcoal grill lamb (for AUD$24 you get 3 small pieces) arrived without a hint of charcoal, extremely greasy and rubbery. Service took forever as well.
This restaurant lives up to the hype. I enjoyed the atmosphere and absolutely loved the food. I highly recommend trying the BBQ pork buns and the veggie gyoza.
Yum Cha - will be coming back regularly. Good food, good variety, good service. Couldn't fault it. Restaurant was pretty packed the whole time we were there.
I do not recommend eating at Manasan Surry Hills or Bondi Junction. It's not worth the money. Very unpleasant experience. Do not recommend this place.
