I can't say too much about OBA because I wouldn't want its unique charm to change. However, it's clear that the staff is well-treated, which creates a friendly atmosphere filled with regulars and families, all at reasonable prices. OBA actually means 'Auntie'! And just like an auntie, they always encourage me to try new things. My favorite izakaya tapas here are the eggplant and mushrooms, and somehow they always have the best avocados I've ever tasted. This is genuine food; there's no skimping here. If you ask for crab, they won't try to pass off surimi instead.
I gave an extra star for the service which was nice but food itself is really just 1 or 2 stars. This place has an expansive menu, as it has both Thai and Japanese food to offer. However it doesn't quite do either very well. Portions are small and cost is expensive. One of the things we ordered was udon and it was $10 for literally soup and plain udon. No garnish or anything added. It definitely caters to people who don't care about authenticity or don't know what Asian food really tastes like. Sadly I will not be returning.
We have been coming here for 4+ years, had my first date here with my partner. Very causal place but some of the best sashimi, sushi ever! You must have their ceviche, it’s absolutely delectable, the best Asian inspired ceviche I have ever had! The customer service is a big factor for my rating, the servers are customer service top tier, their service and food is always consistent! We visit here once a week, it’s that delicious, $200 for amazing cuts is a bargain. Just posting this makes my mouth water…?
Had this place for the first time recently after driving by it for years and I am so mad at myself for not trying to sooner.The food was so great and the service was amazing! The severs, managers, chefs, and owners greeted every single customer. The atmosphere was top tier! I enjoyed everything we ordered, the Don buri was huge! Definitely enough to share. The tempura was so crispy and light it was perfect. I'm definitely coming back to try their lunch menu.

This place is AMAZING! Food quality customer service is on point! Everyone is super friendly and attentive. Great local spot with loyal regular customers. We really enjoyed the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi, chirashi bowl, mixed tempura, crispy rice w/spicy tuna sautéed mushrooms! Chicken cutlet was perfectly crispy kid approved!!! We will definitely be coming back here to try some of their Thai dishes next! Highly recommend!!! :
OBA Sushi has everything you could want. They have a wide-ranging menu, exceptional quality, and great service, plus the staff is incredibly friendly. Be sure to make a reservation through Siri, as they tend to be quite busy!
Fantastic neighborhood sushi and Japanese food restaurant. Great mix of traditional Japanese food and creative Japanese inspired dishes. Lots of seasonal fish specials and very good sake selection.
The food was amazing, the variety and portions were great. Will definitely be returning. Servers were welcoming and efficient.
