The brisket, pulled pork, and ribs were all expertly prepared. My son thoroughly enjoyed his BBQ shrimp bowl, and my daughter, who is a 10-year-old expert on macaroni and cheese, declared it to be among the best she'd ever tasted. While I found the mac and cheese to be quite good, I don’t share her discerning taste for such dishes. The macadamia nut slaw was delightful, and my son praised the cornbread muffins. The service during our visit was the efficient yet somewhat brusque style typical of a busy establishment that may be slightly understaffed, but the staff was not unfriendly. We arrived at the restaurant with a lot of excitement because my husband is a big fan of BBQ ribs. The first staff member who served us was very friendly, but unfortunately, the woman at the counter was quite unpleasant. She was rude and charged us extra for the sides, even though the menu clearly stated they were included with the dish. Her behavior felt very discriminatory; we are tourists and have traveled a long way to enjoy your restaurant, not to be mistreated. When we thanked her, she just ignored us instead of responding. While the food was good, I would never return because of the poor service.
I was truly impressed! I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant ever since it opened, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The food is fantastic, and the BBQ sauce is exceptional! They have great outdoor seating, and I was surprised that the place wasn’t packed! The smoked mac and cheese was delicious, and the cornbread was absolutely amazing! I loved it, and I will definitely return. I do have one small criticism—though it's a bit picky—some of the food could have been served a little warmer. But don’t let that deter you from going! Nice little place, just off the main tourist area. Has bar seating indoors and tables in the front as well as in the back. Be advised, back area did not have great air movement and got really hot. Ordered the combo BBQ plate and garlic BBQ shrimp. Both the pork and brisket were tasty. Shrimp were cooked well, jumbo in size and flavorful. The Carolina BBQ sauce, smoked mac and cheese and the slaw were very good.

The food has undergone numerous changes lately, and I've been disappointed during my last few visits. I took a photo this time to document it. The mac and cheese was not good at all; the noodles were dry, the cheese wasn't melted, and there was an excessive amount of butter and oil that I had to drain off. The brisket was tough to pull apart, and it was quite pricey for what I received.
The BBQ was good, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The pulled pork was quite tasty, especially with the spicy sauce, while the brisket was on the dry side. The service was excellent, though it took nearly 15 minutes to get my order, even with just a party of three in front of me. The portion sizes were pretty average, so you'll likely need to order one plate per person.
This is a laid-back spot with excellent food. The brisket bowl topped with Asian mac slaw was amazing. My wife ordered the BBQ garlic shrimp served over rice, and it was incredibly flavorful. The pulled pork sliders were also a hit with my kids. There’s no table service if that’s what you’re looking for, but it’s perfect for a quick meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
I was very pleased with this restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the meals had a comforting, home-cooked vibe. However, the brisket was a little too fatty for my taste. On the other hand, the pulled pork was excellent. I also really enjoyed the Lilikoi Lemonade. It’s a great place to escape the crowds.

The best clam chowder in town! The staff was incredibly accommodating when it came to Ironman's dietary needs, providing delicious yet simple pasta. I highly recommend this place. There’s a parking lot available, and the prices are reasonable. They could improve the ambiance a bit to make it more inviting.
The smoked brisket lacked both smoke and seasoning and wasn't tender at all. At $30, it feels quite expensive given the quality. Perhaps other menu items are better?
