I made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab Hotel. We sat at 7:45 am. At 8:05 a.m. nobody had come to our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send a waitress. 8:30 no waitress got up yet and asked the hostess to send a waitress please. 8:40 no one yet. Each waitress distributed the table like we weren't even there. I was so upset we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else. For a large restaurant the noise was minimal. There is enough space between the tables so that you don't have to hear someone else's conversation. This seems like a welcome feature in most Landry restaurants. Their prices are the highest we've seen in most of the better restaurants, including Landry restaurants. Most of what we paid, including a 20% tip, was $ 100. In Florida we go to your kind of restaurant once a month. Our $ 128 bill at the River Crab limits us to viewing it as a special occasion restaurant only.
We had a great time on the River Crab on July 4th. The weather was spectacular and we decided to sit outside. It was perfect - the yellow umbrellas and the blue sky and water made a calm environment. Our waitress was attentive and met all of our needs. The food was excellent and we hated to go. We will definitely be back and I got the word out about this place. Watching the boats on the water is a huge plus. We hope we can now return to a sailboat ride and lunch which is offered during the week.
River Crab surprised me so pleasantly. It was difficult to find good food in the area so I was skeptical. The food was absolutely on point (the burrata was beautiful, the steaks cooked to perfection, and the shrimp cocktail was perfect). The service was amazing. Friendly, well-timed and attentive without being clever. The view was pretty and it's fun to watch the variety of boats go by. Highly recommend and I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world. I definitely want to go back.

For some it's ... disappointed! Should have taken note of from reviews. Place has potential. The starters absolutely awful. Ordered potato crusted whitefish ... potatoes not cooked was gross. Woman's beef medallions are lit! The bread was excellent as was the wine, otherwise nothing special about this place. I will not come back
4th of July weekend; Sunday brunch. The service was exceptional (Maria) and the food was above average. Great view of the river and boats; Sitting on the deck is best. The food would get 5 stars if everything was identifiable and the roast beef carved thinner. Everything else; Great !
The service was slow. The waitress received an incorrect order resulting in a main course being served 10 minutes at a time. Nice place.
This is absolutely my favorite seafood restaurant anywhere- which is a weird thing to say about a place in the mountains.
