I’ve been in Chicago for 4 hours, first time here. Booked a hotel near the airport. Went to the closest bar and they were closin down and they recommended Richie’s. We walked in and were instantly home. Found a spot on the back side of the bar and were served quickly. Halfway through the first beer Rich, the owner, came and sat with us and instantly bought us a shot. We stayed for hours while trading stories (mostly of NBA basketball as I’m a HUGE Utah jazz fan). Great bar, will go back in the morning before my flight and grub. Rich made us feel like family. Never thought I’d find southern hospitality this far north???
