Royal Treasure is located in the new arcade next to Burwood Plaza called Emerald Square, which is beautifully built. The food was ok. None of the food particularly stood out. However, the biggest let down and the main reason why I will not be returning is due to their service. We had high expectations for this restaurant as their Facebook ratings were pretty high. Unfortunately, this expectation quickly declined due to the average food and most importantly, the extreme rudeness we had to encounter with the staff members. Food was not bad and came out pretty fast. Grief Grief On the other hand, customer service was especially for her waitress "Nana", which we asked for our order, and she went ahead and gave her name and said with the attitude if you want (we did not intend to make a complaint we wanted Simply confirm our order). Another waiter with glasses also said, "Could you just tell me what they all want at once, because it's an effort to get everything" This attitude is definitely not acceptable for a customer service role in hospitality. Grief It was completely disturbing because I was afraid that she could spit in my food for revenge when there was no intention to the complaint.
Headed to the new Royal Treasure Seafood restaurant in Emerald Square for yumcha one morning. I was quite surprised with their low review as I found the service was good as well as the food. More variety of dimsum came out as the morning progresses. My fav was the fried rice roll with sesame and sweet sauce, BBQ puffs and black sesame balls. The sui Mai and fan guo though were not up to standard. I was also not very impressed with the host asking whether we intend to tip when I paid for the bill. theengineereats.com
This place is worth only a visit. I was here twice here (not my suggestion) and the food can be improved because I had better versions of them elsewhere.
