This restaurant was shockingly disappointing on so many levels, my husband and I left feeling cheated and dissatisfied (and no we are not snooty and difficult diners, just simple folk who like good food and don't mind occasionally paying a fair price for it). I booked Sean's as a surprise to celebrate my husbands birthday after I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, not to mention it is two-hatted. What an overrated and exploitative PR joke this was. The name "Sean's Panoramic" was already a lie in itself. We were seated outside (not a problem), however, the "panoramic" view is almost entirely blocked by the large life saving club in front of it (regardless of whether you sa...

Came here one Sunday after a long time looking forward to visiting. the waitress asked us to look at the inside menu (on a blackboard) which we thought was unusual - until we realised she didn't think we'd be able to pay! I have an exec role & my friends are all professionals so this was slightly confronting. I ordered borlotti bean ravioli, as did my friend, & the others had fish. The fish dishes were great - the ravioli cold, not very tasty & not much of it. We had a couple of bottles of wine & enjoyed the sun & outdoors - but I did feedback to the staff about the ravioli (they started to tell me my friend had enjoyed it - when I knew she hadn't!). I emailed afterwards...

I booked Seans as a surprise to celebrate my husbands birthday after I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, not to mention two of two. Disappointing. Where should you start? First and foremost it should not be a prerequisite for the staff waiting and efficient? We were told when we ask for a Chardonnay glass for our old Semillon ask an inconvenience for our waitress, but unfortunately it did. Second, they can not help but easily feel disadvantaged when two tables arrive after them and served 2 courses while still waiting for their main (randomly 40 minutes after our main process arrived). Last but not least, my husbands came on, similar to how described, clearly the attention of the details was not high on the agenda last night. Overall, a date-night turned into our own neighborhood as a true disappointment, fortunately we...

Very cool place that sources most of it's food from sustainable locations (including Sean's farm, where possible). The waitress was very knowledgable about the menu.  They have 4 different entrees and 4 different mains each night. We had a gnocchi to start and then lamb 3 ways & yellowfin as mains.  All of the food was great--just my one bone-in piece of lamb was a little tough and bland compared to the rest of the meal.  Definitely recommend coming in for a nice dinner with a great view of the beach.

Undoubtedly, Sean's Panorama is one of my favorite restaurants. It's like eating in the house of her best friend, who is also a crazy cook. Everything in the menu is seasonal and fresh and the menu is inventive and always satisfactory. This is a place where we go with friends and family and celebrate because it feels special.
