I often travel to and through Batemans Bay for work, and I look forward to stopping at the Starfish for dinner. The location is unbeatable, overlooking the Clyde River, and if you stay in nearby accommodation, it's a short walk down the well-lit promenade. The staff are always quick to greet and are unfazed by a solo traveller and still happy to give out a window seat. On my most recent visit I ordered the fish plate which is essentially seafood platter for one. The prawns, fish and quid were all cooked to perfection, and the service was cheerful and speedy. Highly recommend.
Starfish Deli is a great place to eat, found at the end of the Promenade in Batemans bay. With excellent views over Batemans Bay. The food is excellent, we had a woodfire pizza to share that really good. There is a wide range of food on the menu and quality coffee and cakes. A definite stop off that will not disappoint when visiting the South Coast NSW town of Batemans Bay. Also definitely family friendly menu if you have children to feed as well.

This cafe is usually delightful. I eat swordfish regularly on a plate. This time it was served in a round bowl. Not a pleasant way to eat fish and chips. They put the fish on top of chips. Lemon squirted makes chips soggy. It was sad one piece of swordfish was delicious the other thin one tasted very fishy. However generous serving so even only half the fish was satisfying. The view is gorgeous.

Walking around Bateman's Bay and found this lovely little cafe overlooking the river. Staff were very friendly and professional. We had the seafood platter for two at $59 very reasonable and plenty for a lunch for two. They are licensed but we chose the soft drink alternative. Would drop in again when I'm down that way.
My partner and I went for a walk and stopped in here for a cocktail and beer, the staff were lovely and the view of the marina was lovely too. We decided to get the dips and the bread that came with it was soooo sooo nice, fresh and the flavours on it were just heaven. Good little spot!
What a combination - great view, friendly staff and huge serves of wonderful food. While we were hungry when we arrived for lunch, we ended up taking so much with us that we had dinner solved as well. This is a wonderful destination for lunch in the sun.
Great meal. My husband enjoyed local swordfish and I was delighted with best vegetarian local mushroom spinach and Parmesan risotto. Much improved vegatarian choice than on our last visit.

Fair meal with good choices. Friendly staff good service. As with even country towns, more attention paid to writing the menus than preparing the actual food but good when it came.
We enjoyed a beautiful lunch here on a lovely sunny winters day. Beautiful view of Batemans Bay harbour. Very friendly helpful staff. Big serving (had to get a doggy bag).
