Stopped off at Sugar Fire for lunch on a Saturday afternoon.The BBQ ribs did not disappoint. A half rack was plenty for my husband.I tried the coffee BBQ sauce and it was outstanding! I?m pretty sure I could just eat it with a spoon! I also triedtheir ?Texas hot sauce, which is typically style I LOVE...this one, however, basically tasted like normal tomato ketchup sauce.Overall, it was a good dining experience. They have outdoor seating which was ample but lacked any real ambiance (the restaurantis in a strip mall). And, the outdoor chairs were wilding uncomfortable (this is a frequent complaint in my reviews)...thechairs are meant to be outdoor lounge seating not outdoor dining chairs they...
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy BBQ away from the downtown area, and the best part is that it's not crowded! It was refreshing to walk right in and place my order without any hassle. The service was efficient, despite a good number of customers. The ribs were delicious, with a nice crispy exterior and juicy, tender meat inside. I highly recommend the mac and cheese—I wish I had ordered extra! The cornbread, however, was a bit underwhelming, scoring a 5/10 for being quite dry. I also appreciated the variety of sauces available. Overall, it was a great experience, and I definitely recommend stopping by if you have time to enjoy some good St. Louis BBQ.
I truly appreciate the authenticity of this restaurant. The smoked turkey and smoked sausages are absolutely delicious. They also change their side dishes, which I find quite refreshing. Today's sides included a squash and zucchini casserole, rated 4/5, broccoli rice, also 4/5, and a corn and brisket chowder that was a perfect 5/5. I highly recommend this place; I always leave feeling satisfied!
Sugarfire was fantastic! I was welcomed right away and asked if it was my first visit, which led to a helpful explanation on how to place my order. I tried the two meat plate with brisket and pork, both of which were excellent. The fried green beans and cornbread were also delicious. My total came to just over $20, which felt reasonable for such great BBQ!

It is one of the best BBQ places in St. Louis. Meats are juicy and definitely delicious. Sides have big portions and many choices, and they are delicious too. Free drinks with purchase. The atmosphere is relaxing. Facilities are clean. I will go back with friends and family, since I don't like eating alone.
Fantastic Brisket! The ribs were a little dry and chewy preventing a 5 yet a very good showing for Sugarfire Smoke House. The restaurant was very clean, and provided an option to try all the sauces which I appreciated. The corn bread and Ham casserolewere good. The Potato salad was OK.
I’d like to start by mentioning that I used to live in St. Louis when this restaurant first opened on Olive Blvd. Although I have since moved away, I’ve had the opportunity to dine there several times since then...
The selection of sauces was impressive! While the ribs weren't as good as I hoped, the brisket and sausage were fantastic! And those fries? They were absolutely amazing!
