I was shopping for costco and wanted to take a lunch before I went home. I didn't want a Costco fare, but noticed this place close and wanted to try. the word tako stands for taqueria koreano, which obviously explains the Mexican-Korean dishes. It wasn't my first time trying this mix, but the first time in vancouver. I ended the ordering of the bbq short rib burrito bowl because the mention of kimchi fried rice made my mouthwater. I placed my order, maybe waited 5 minutes and then taken home. when I came home and the box opened and began to dig. short rib was cut into tiny cubes and still warm pretty good. Salad and tomato were cool and crisp. the fried rice was kold! it was clobpy as if the...

It’s been a popular fusion in LA area for awhile now. This is the first that I have seen in Vancouver. The restaurant is right next to the sky train station entrance on Expo Blvd. There are counter seats and a bench outside with a...few stools. We sat outside, but not the nicest location for that with all kinds of characters in and out of the station and a faint smell of urine. The spices of Korean food like Kimchi, gochujang (spicy pepper paste) goes well with Mexican. Order at the counter and they will bring the food to you. Also serve beers which is a must with Korean-Mexican food. The food here is good. I think they could do a bit more to really kick things up but for fast food, it hits...
This restaurant is the type of establishment that showcases Vancouver's reputation for exceptional Asian cuisine. The menu features a fusion of Asian flavors with Canadian dishes. I opted for the poutine with Korean beef and fried chicken in a spicy sauce, both of which were delicious. The service was fast and efficient, as one would expect from a fast food establishment. Despite the limited seating, I was able to secure a table during rush hour without much difficulty.
The concept of Korean BBQ fused with Mexican struck me as having some potential. Basically Mexican style shells with Korean ingredients. Had the Spicy Pork Burrito on the recommendation of my son. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Was enough food for me though a healthier younger appetite...might want (not need) something more. Definitely return there anytime. Book a table now
Completely recommend this for casual fresh, hot flavourful ‘goodness’ Has an Asian/Mexican theme with Poutines Yes sounds like a weird cross of culinary genres but my goodness it was so tasty The tacos are tiny and so colourful- super tasty Beer on tap as well...as bottles Small space but folks don’t stay long.
the server was really friendly. When I ordered the veggie tacos, she told me it contains fish sauce. I was glad she told me. I think they can't think of themselves for granted! So I decided to take the veggie quesadillas. I personally found her too cheesy, I couldn't taste the other ingredients.
An ideal place to pop in if you are wanting tasty fresh Korean food with a mexican twist. We both had bibimbap bowls, one veggie and one bulgogi beef, which were fantastic! The tacos looked great too, and very good value for money definitely...recommend.
such a unique fusion of foods that works amazingly well! the service was so friendly and the food was so good. very good value for the tacos safe. I wish I could post pictures, but we couldn't wait to dig. try it yourself! Book a table now
Found this little place walking from the sky train to Rogers Arena. Tried a couple of tacos. Loved the taste and found good value in what I got. Plan to stop again in the future to further explore the menu.
I highly recommend trying the kimchi quesadilla and bulgogi poutine from this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was quick. I will definitely be returning!
