A large group of us dined here (c/o Groupon vouchers). The premises are on the small side, make a booking if your group is big. I's located on a busy strip of Burwood Road, just up from Westfield. We just about walked past it.
POSITIVES - The food was surprisingly authentic and very tasty and we were all well and truly satiated by the end of our meal.
NEGATIVES - they brought out our mains before our entree. Rice per person is $3.50 (per bowl) so expensive when most of us can go through 2 bowls of rice each.
Having said that, I would definitely go back to Thaipoon for a good Thai meal.
It's first time for me to try Fired rice with Toufu and favour of Coriander & Chilly flake. The rice is cooked right , not hard, neither soft, different flavours can be clearly identified with very hot chilly taste full of my mouth. Veggies are very fresh, I chose option of Cashew which gave me crispy feeling on top of all flavour. It was a well done lunch.
I noticed that this was the old Thai in a box and went inside. I ordered the Entencurry. Was delicious, but hardly a flesh despise the high costs. Not good value for money. A strong reminder why I do not eat in this place.
We had lunch and they had deep fried softshell crab, it was just great. The service was great and well set up restaurants. Near Westfield so plenty of parking. Close to trains and bus

This restaurant is great for Singapore noddles, great customer service, not to far from Burwood train station, cheap meal's with great favour, will be back again
their lamb sizzler was awesome and their design your own noodles and rice is also great. stir fries are pretty good too. Decent portions as well.
I've been here for many times as I am local. I found their food is good, but the service quite rushing. But still a good place to buy a food!
The atmosphere here is nice, the lighting, decoration and set out is nice; casual but not too crowdedStaff is patient, friendly and nice.

The more I come here the more I like itIt's not the best Thai I've had yet it's better than your average one.
