The east kitchen is tucked away but absolutely fabulous once inside. The service was excellent and we were given a couple of savory treats while we waited for our food to arrive. The food was excellent and my king prawns with cashews and veggies was very fresh and plate was brimming with prawns. We ordered a dish each and some fried rice and will have enough fir dinner tonight also. We also ask about the egg tarts. They didn’t have any but later the owner said they would make some especially for us. They were delicious. Please give this neighborhood gem a try, it will become your ‘go to’. We regularly come to Canberra and will b back. These people are really trying to keep their business goi...

This is our favourite Chinese restaurant in Canberra, and we eat here regularly. It 's run by a brother/sister couple from HK, and can get a little overwhelmed if very busy, but the wait is always worth it. Extensive menu, and every dish we have tried is a winner. Sizzling prawns with lemongrass and sizzling chicken with black pepper are particular favourites. It 's tucked away in the far corner of the restaurant precinct in Dickson and, like many authentic Chinese restaurants, has a very plain interior, so that may explain why it 's most often quiet but, as they say, do yourself a favour ...!
This restaurant is greatly underrated and deserves more recognition. We had a party of ten and tried several dishes, all of which were fantastic. The Crispy Fish fillets in Honey Pepper sauce were a standout, but even the Fried Rice exceeded our expectations. The spring rolls were also delicious, with a moist interior and crispy exterior. Despite the simple decor, the owners are genuine and aim to please. Although it took a while for all the dishes to be served, each one was sensational. We highly recommend this restaurant over the more popular ones in Dixon.
I recently had the best Chinese meal of my 45 years in Canberra at this restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious, with each course being freshly cooked and served with just the right amount of time in-between. The relaxed pace at which the meal was served gave us plenty of time to chat. It's definitely a meal that you should take your time to enjoy, so if you're in a rush, it may not be the best option for you. However, if you let the staff know that you are in a hurry, I'm sure they will be able to accommodate you. - David Middleton Book a table now
We were extremely impressed by this restaurant. It surpasses anything on Dixon Street or Little Bourke Street, offering exceptional Singaporean Chinese cuisine. The chef prepares fresh dishes for every customer, avoiding pre-cooked food to serve light and delicious meals that may take a bit longer to prepare but are definitely worth the wait. The decor is basic, but if you're there for the food and not the ambiance, it's not a big deal. This restaurant outshines many others in Canberra and sets a new standard for dining in the area.
We had the most fantastic meal at this restaurant last night. The food was the best we have had in ages and there was not much left of the four dishes we had. The hosts, a brother and sister run this restaurant on their own so service might be a bit slow on really busy nights but we were not in a hurry and they cooked as we ordered. I recommend the crispy fish fillets in garlic sauce with chilli for those who like it hot. We will be going back in January when we are next in Canberra.
We had walked passed several times and finally decided to stop in for dinner. Firstly the service is outstanding and the food also. The steam dim sums were possibly the best we have had. And we have had thousands over the years. The crispy pork in plum sauce was divine. Seek out this restaurant in Dickson for an honest and beautiful meal with lovely hosts who care about their food, and seek your approval.
We have tried a number of restaurants in Dickson before and for some reason had never eaten here before. Definitely coming back to this one. Great service and generously sized meals. Book a table now
