On the morning of my partner's 27th birthday, we decided to celebrate at Lansdowne Cafe. After a leisurely stroll up the hill, we settled in with a pot of French Earl Grey tea, which was the perfect way to start the day. The specials board caught our eye, and we ended up ordering poached eggs with mushrooms, tarragon hollandaise greens, as well as poached eggs with corn fritters, avocado, and bacon. It was one of the best meals I've ever had, alongside the excellent service, relaxed atmosphere, and the company of my partner. Lansdowne Cafe, you have won my heart after just one visit <3. This was truly the best dining experience I've had in Hobart.
This place is one of my favourites... you can expect excellent food and service. The breakfasts are everything you want from a cafe i.e. fresh, hearty, filling (I recommend getting their house made creamed corn with your brekky as it's SO good), and having sampled almond croissants around Hobart theirs is always the best.
Excellent food, 4 of us tried smashed avo with halumi, lamb shoulder, lentil burger and blueberry butter milk hot cakes with lemon curd (that one was a special) all very very happy, lamb tender with a crisp skin, smashed avo wonderful mix of flavours, lentil burger excellent and the cakes sublime!
Waiting for the final reno on my flat just down the road from here and then i don't know how I am going to keep away from the place but will definitely work my way through the menu although i cant seem to get past the cornbread breakfast Book a table now
I had breakfast at this restaurant and it was difficult to choose from the many appealing items on the menu. My meal was delicious, with great service and excellent value. I will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!
The slow cooked lamb and the pulled pork are as good as it gets, I shouldn't be saying this though as it's hard enough to get a table as it is . top food and top people which is rare these days

My 88-year-old Dad, who has had many bacon-based meals in his lifetime, believes he just had the best egg and bacon roll of his life. The coffee was also excellent. Book a table now
Superb food, great staff. Ask about their complimentary tea-towel napkin service for large, messy gentlemen eating breakfast in fancy suits.
