We ordered an appetizer and a pitcher of margaritas on the rocks. The margarita tasted very sour with hardly any tequila. Therefore, we ordered a second pitcher of raspberry margarita since they were out of strawberry. It was also lacking any taste of tequila. My guest and I did not complain but when we got the bill, each pitcher was almost $30. Our bill was over $70 for two pitchers of juice and a nacho appetizer. Our server never cleared our table or offered to refill our glass of water. She was more worried about us paying the bill. Food has no flavor. none And the portions are small. Service at the bar is horrible. Or atleast it has been for the last 4 yrs. The bartender, whoever that might b, never acknowledges me standing at the bar, clearly needing something. Stuck-up, too busy, annoyed to have to make me a drink is the way I feel n there. I only go n there to gamble which sucks too. Their slot machines do not pay out. I don't believe any of the bartenders have ever said THANK YOU when I tip. Owners daughter or some girl who works there as bartender related to the owner was the rudest. Took my water bottle from me while gambling one day. Overall the vibe of the place just isn't friendly nor inviting.
I've dined at many restaurants in Carbondale, and I even worked in the kitchen at this one. The food is definitely five-star quality. This place is a reliable choice for a fantastic meal or drinks. The bar is excellent, and there are plenty of games to keep you entertained. It's truly the go-to spot in Carbondale. I just completed Army infantry school and will be in Carbondale this weekend before graduating and starting Ranger school. I plan to visit Tres one last time before a long break. As for kid-friendliness, the menu is fantastic and easy for kids to enjoy.
Worst experience in a long timeThe waitress was clueless. The vegetable fajitas had only green peppers and onions. My wife ordered something and the waitress waited until all of the food to come out to let her know her food was not available. My friend ordered the beef Taco salad... she brought out the Taco salad with no meat. The waitress was unapologetic and completely clueless.

I am not big on Mexican food, but this place has awesome chicken wings. The dry rub wings were so good, we went two days in a row. On the second visit, my friend got two orders of wings to go! Enjoyed sitting out on the deck on a sunny day ?
The food was disappointing and didn't taste like authentic Mexican cuisine. It took an excessive amount of time to be served, and they couldn't even prepare a simple burger correctly. I won't be returning.
