If you have an allergy, probably don’t go. They don’t respect your allergy and don’t believe allergies are a real thing. We went there and they added allergen to the food then assumed they could wash it off. When we disagreed they told us that allergies didn’t exist. So we were allowed to make another bowl. They then called us back to the counter to clarify their view that allergies don’t exist. This is the second time this has happened. I was here twice, both of them were terrible. the first time I wanted malatang suppe, but they gave me dried and refused to change, the second time they gave me something completely different what I ordered. because of the covid I took me and did not discover that they gave me orders from someone else until I came home. the servier was not interested and unhygienic. the people who pack the teeth, pick up the things from the floor, the eating looks old and stale. I will never return there, and if they still want to give them their business, please pay attention to their order, check them before they eat!

that's disgusting! That's the second time I found a mistake in my eating, that's so careless! the other time I bought from them, I found a hair in the suppe. eating is mediocre and not worth, I should not pay for careless and unsatisfied eating. definitely not there! there are many malatang sites burwood that are much more sanitary. additionally they have to wait for mins that wait quite long for those in the hurry.

The service was so poor, the lady was YELLING at us saying that the weighting wasn’t enough. I’ve never been horrified by worse service. For first timers, there is a minimum weight you have to reach, so if you don’t think you can finish all that food I suggest combining your food into one bowl with your friends instead of trying to meet the limit and end up wasting food if you don’t think you’ll finish it.
we came to this place at 8:30 a.m. and it was a busy time because we had to wait more than 20 minutes until our food arrived. once it came, I was surprised that my suppenbase was spicy, although I never asked my preference for the basic. my friend found a hair in her bowl, which is regrettable. will probably not come after eating at other places with better customer service.
Pretty good malatang place. Standard ingredient selection. Staff is okay. Soup base is pretty great. Gets really busy at times during peak so get there's early! If your looking for a more relaxed dining setting I reckon head over to the other malatang places in the area which are equally as good but less busy.
love that Malatang has expanded to a whole bunch of broths. altho the Mala-Bruth is og and the most tasty, now our vegetarian friends can bring with the mushroom, tomato and picked vegetables! there is also a great selection of what to put in their broth! I think it was $16 per 500g.

It was my first visit and the food certainly didn’t disappoint. The variety of meat and veggies were pretty good. The only downside for me is the ‘spicy’ level on the menu. Even the non-spicy option mentioned on the menu is still spicy.
